We've had a mail from the rangers this morning, "The dam is still closed for riding as there are some trouble spots that still have not dried out. We will be having discussions this week about the re-opening and will inform the riders..."
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if this glorious weather keeps up perhaps it will be back on at the weekend.

News just in.... please avoid the Dam this week (and probably for the next couple too?).

Manly Dam bike circuit is closed until further notice.
This is due to serious erosion as a result of continuous wet weather.
We encourage people to call us at the Park Office on (02) 9949 3235 or 0409 773 097 if they need to enquire any further.
This is a temporary closure and we will re-open the track as conditions improve.
Rangers will patrol to enforce this closure.
Please assist by informing other bike riders of this closure.
Please inform any club members or customers that may enquire about the track.

Would be good to see as many people as possible out putting a little back to a place that gives us all so much fun. No excuses for this one as there is plenty of notice (having said that I've just realised its my daughters birthday party that morning)
Manly Dam Maintenance Days
A bike maintenance day at Manly Dam has been organised for Sunday 10th September 2006.
Start time: 8:30am
Finish: 1:00pm
Meeting place: Manly Dam Rangers Depot 112 King St Manly Vale. Parking available in the depot.
Bring: Hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes and drinking water.
A maximum of 15 people are required for the day.
If you wish to come and help on the trail please email to register: [email protected] or phone the Rangers Office on 9949 3235 with your details.
Due to the 12 Hour race being held on the same weekend Warringah
Council have changed to the date of the trail maintenance day to
Sunday 17 September to accommodate this.
