It's adventure PLUS! Get it right mate. That means extra adventure.

Ye of little faith.

The days of the near boring long trail are over.

After long consultation with the local bulldozer owner and the observation of the theory that if they build it they will come and the fact that if we shortened the entire perimeter long trail track to enable the MoB to return to the Terry Hills Tavern before kitchen shutdown we could be on a winner.

Victory is ours.

Come join this adventure into the unknown, then get your ass back as soon as possible to the tavern for a feed and beer.

Hopefully you're doing the entire track - the 17km ring track (what WE know as the "Perimetre track") around Terrey Hills - with no stops about 1 hour? scoot

Rob's picture

You mean the Sandy trail via Bibenluke, Cullamine, etc? Yeah - that doesn't get enough attention. Erm... not that I'll be there this Wed mind. Sorry Sad

Paul's picture

Pikey can't mean Sandy, Bibenluke, Cullamine and Perimeter. They would never get back in time for dinner.

It would make an interesting night ride - at least you couldn't see the endless hills around Duffy's Forest.

FYI - Cullamine is blocked off for repair/maintenance and the back of Duffy's Forest is a bog in a few places.

it's a bit of plastic tape and someone (not me) broke it a couple of weeks ago when we rode round there. Boggy, muddy? isn't it always? i didn't notice 'cause my glasses were covered in horse shit. There was a LOT of that.....it's a great night ride.

i can't make the ride anymore, my staffy just had to have an operation and i can't pick him up until Wednesday morning.
Sandy trail is always muddy
as for the horse shit comment... not AGAIN

ar_junkie's picture

I was waiting for someone to 'av a go...
Eye-wink

Possibly another thing to consider is whether the Tavern serve a bunch of mud/poo covered MTB'ers..?

Buzz's picture

Horse shit - come on guys clean up after your animals, use a pooper scooper or a plastic bag.

Respect the bush and only leave tracks and only take out memories.

it sounds like you and Christine are polar opposites.

I'm pretty sure you'll find that, as our resident all things horsey person, she is a little "shitty" about the horse poo comments.

Don't worry though, she normally only holds grudges for a couple of years

Buzz's picture

Oops my mistake I thought she disliked horse shit flicking up in her face as much as I do.

"When: Wed 26 Nov (18:55) - for approx. 140 hours"

I don't think we are going to be seeing that "bitch" if the ride is that long Smiling

I will try to get there in time.. I'll try to call if we are late so we can catch you up.

Removed my name from the list. X-ray pictures show I broke a bone in my hand following a tumble over the handle bars at Manly Dam last night. Another war story for the telling.

Bernd's picture

... no, sorry to hear that news!
Hope you get well soon. I know a very good Hand Dr.!!
Bernd

pikey's picture

Hi Dibbler, you still have one good hand don't you? (get well soon)

And as for 140 hrs I couldn't get the system to fix itself??? I'm like Gazza good with tools only!

Last night ride for me for a while...

Been tempted by Pikey's adventure ride, but cannot join Sad

... Sorry guys but I'm going O/S for a while (for work), followed by a visit to Laos and Cambodia (to stay in touch with my sons cultural heritage...).

I'm sure we'll find a place to MTB over there ...may even post some travel pics - if I can borrow someone's NoBMob t-shirt... Eye-wink < /hint >

See you back on the trails - in January!

Rgds, Hans
