Hi Damien
I've not done a 24 before so I'm not sure whether to go for a 6 or a 4 man team, but I am interested for sure.
Dylan
I have raced three's and it is great fun but very full on there is no real oportunity to have a decent break four would be hectic too so a six person team for me this time around is the go.
With six you can go harder on your lap with a nice decent recovery time afterwards.
to do this race, haven't done a 24 hour before but I should be up to it.placed 2nd in masters pairs at fat tyre festival.
Does the free T-shirt go for all team members or only the one making the booking
Not sure if we all get shirts.
a day not so long ago and I was dreaming about being in a team of six so why not, u got me.
C.G.
4 down - 2 more to go..
Bearing in mind that John is in are we going to call the team Mantoast?
He did think it was gay but maybe team Groovy Toast.
Should I wear my pink lycra then?
Oh, and I'm confident that we would all get a T-shirt.
Groover.
goes like this, I eat toast not Guys, but I've never claimed to be normal!
LOL
I would be up for a team?
up to you guys though...
oh and john remember what i told you about
what i won at the 6 hour??
No problem Alex I will put your name down.
Five on the list one space still open.
I'm in a team with bunch of speed freaks! I'd better start training
I don't care what you call the team as long as it's all about toast.
I have started training for the solo at Easter so I should be in good shape for this one in Feb.
We're Toast or Toasted
Fine by me
Toasted speedsterz
Might work, even if we don't look the same
You guys are on fire!
nobs on toast
enough with the "man-like" names,
people may get the wrong idea?
six toasted nobs or half a dozen hot buttered nobs or,,,,,, just ignore me, im drunk!
I was drunk last night, too!!! "Toasted"
Bernd
If that 6th rider spot is still open, I'm in!!
Critty - Critty
Nice one Critty, this team is looking fast!
The fastest thing I will be doing is putting the hammock up, er.. I mean I really better start getting my training going.
Well V and I are going to do it as a pair. I dont think we will challenge you guys though. Can we camp next to you though so we can have a bit of support? and watch the challenge unfold as of course...
I better get real with my training again as I'm aware I've slipped a few spots in the NoBMoB rankings of speed, speaking of which the average speed of the MoB has increased a lot in the last 12-18 mths with such a busy endurance race schedule there is always something good to train for.
Gav & V, I'll be keen to help out at the race, have you thought how often you'll change riders as I guess this is some testing for the champs in April.
Yeah this one is about testing for champs in april. We will try and get as sorted as we would for the champs and then test food, drinks etc then. I will be Riding when V decides she has had enough. I will use it as a bit more short course training. Im looking forward to it.
And yes you are right the MOB has increased its speed a lot even since I joined you guys in Feb. Im just waiting to see what other fast teams show up for the challenge that has been thrown down...
I find it ironic that Dylan, who is no slouch himself, will be the slowest rider in the team... LOL
I don't consider myself to be that fast, only got 2nd in fat tyre festival because of home track, good partner & no real opposition, will really need to train for this one.
But he did just kick my butt up some horrible hill you call quarry track climb.
I'm glad other people have noticed the overall mob pace increasing.. I'm aware of my riding changing over the year, as well as others. There is a very real and healthy competitive edge on the forum, something that was pretty evident to me at the last race at Ourimbah. There are also some pretty quick riders here, judging by the results at least. 2 years ago I wouldn't have even thought about riding up some of these hills, now I try to kill them!
I suppose it's all good until you stop enjoying it... or you break something
I think we have a competeive team for this race should be a good weekend.
Nothing beter than a bit of healthy competition and there is always someone in the mob to try and chase its all good fun.
"try and chase".
LOL
I might have to order an 18 tooth rear cog to make that chase a little bit harder for you John.
I am very sorry to say that we are going to have to pull out of doing this race bugger it.
Grandma 80th Bday the same weekend so I better go home for that one!
Looks like V and I will have to plan a long ride or two as 24hr prep testing insteed. I will think about it and post a couple of longer rides (6-10hrs and maybe some darkness thrown in) once back from NZ.
To bad mate.. but important to be with your gran on such an occasion too. Dare I say it you have made the right choice.
I'm a bit slow off the mark for this one, moving house at the moment.
(More effort than a 24!)
I'm interested in riding, but no time to think about a team just at the moment.
Would be interested in joining a team 4 or 6, as usual aiming towards the pointy end of the field, preferably with some other 40+ riders.

Unfortunately Bluray has opted out of Team Toasted so we are seeking a member.
I'm pretty sure the Mantoast curse has nothing to do with his decision before you say anything John
