As anyone used MAXXIS Hansventure? what do you think of them?

I'm thinking about using it as a rear tyre.

Note that I have not used this tyre.

Dual ply is good for strength, but bad for weight savings. I don't think you want to race on them.

Seeing that these will be quite a soft compound, they will wear out quickly when riding on rocks, like at Red Hill. Maybe buy 2 of them?

My son has the Hansventure 2.3 on his Spesh as front tyre and it performs pretty good. He gives them a good workout and it goes well in wet or dry. Good cornering due to grippy side knobs. Never had a flat over the last 10 months.

Designed by Hans "no way" Rey himself:

Some interesting looking grip there, but at > 1100g per end these are heavy ass tyres. Good for a bit of free ride?

Same disclaimer as Ditty - just more unfounded gossip really Eye-wink

I've ridden them. They are a good all rounder. The long center knob means they roll well and the side knob hook up a treat.

Not a tyre for obsessive weight weenies XC types but hey I rode the first WW series with 2.5" High Rollers... Run what you brung

With the Hansventurerereers run it right way round on the front and backward on the rear for added go forward traction
