Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (parking near the kiosk in Wiseman's Ferry Park).
Ferry - Western Commission Track (WCT) = warm up fun;
WCT - junction of Great North Road (GNR) = climbing fun;
GNR - Clare's Bridge = waterbar fun;
Clare's Bridge back to junction WCT/GNR = what goes down must go up again fun;
Junction GNR/WCT - top of Shepherd's Gully = technical fun;
Shepherd's Gully - Settler's Road = downhill fun;
Settlers Road - ferry = bitumen/gravel fun;
Ferry - kiosk = pie & chips or ice cream fun.
About 50km's all up. I haven't done a decent ride since the Scott in October and there's been plenty of plum pudding through the keeper's hands in recent times, so this is a social pace ride with some fast downhill options, some decent climbing (the WCT is loooooong) and plenty of catch up/refreshment stops.
Bring enough water for the ride as there isn't anywhere you can guarantee to get a refill.

start doing some longer rides after all the dirt works is only 5 months away. lol

Man, the Western Commission Track gets harder with each mince pie. But Shepherd's Gully is so well worth it.
Thanks for coming guys - it was great to be in a group that is of a similar standard. We couldn't have asked for better weather - good cloud cover with no precipitation that kept the temp perfect - beautiful!
We did 50k's in 2hrs 50 odd riding time - not a bad result. I reckon with a couple more rides under the belt and less stops we can get that under 2hrs 30, and then 2hrs is the next target - 50k's at 25k's an hour pace. We did 17.5k's an hour this time round - why not?!
I think next time we might have a bit of an explore of Bluray's Donny's Track loop which will make a 70k ish ride..building up to the 100...
Berndt - you'll have to train a bit harder because you missed this one - next time mate...
Ditto Boys - great ride & no mishaps, don't even need to clean the bike, happy to add the loop past Claires Bridge but can we park a ute at the bottom of Shepherd's Gully & scrap the ride back to the ferry.
...a good pace! I would have slowed you down a little, hahhaha
