Impressions - new rider to MTBing

New to MTBing - met some really nice guys at Manly Dam, everyone was very helpful..... lots of advise for a newbie like me.

Only impression I can give at the moment is when I rode around the trails near the northern end of Manly Dam, some biker left their inner tube on the side of the track. If Bikers leave rubbish which is identifiable as "bike" type rubbish then it could spoil it for a lot of people if MTBrs are banned or such. Negative branding can kill off a healthy sport/recreation.

(FYI: if your interested - I use to ride Jet Ski's (yea those noisy little buggers that were 50 Db less than a V8 jet boat towing Skiers but I'm not bitter!) - rode my Jet Ski with care and did all the right things - even rescued standed sail-boarders, boaters and the occasional house boat. It took only a few "idiots" (out of towners mainly) to spoil the Jet Ski scene so now you cant ride anywhere. Dont want the same thing to happen with MTBing of course.)
