Bernd
IF we (Stuart and I) get an entry for the 100 (or 50 for that matter) I will be delighted to buy you a Bier or two ... can we drink together then?!!!

I spoke to Stevenb and he will have Stuart as a first! and maybe last in the race...hahahha
Bernd

Thanks Bernd for keeping your eyes open.
McClutterham and Gaz, I will continue to keep my eyes open for both of you.
Thanks again all
Let there be light
The suspense might kill you Gazza but it should be worth the wait.
most concerned about
Let there be light
the only reason Bernd did such a senstational job on getting Stuart and I those Dirtworks entries is because it is such a source of great amusement to everyone that we are actually intending to attempt a 100k race...
I have asked some of my 'non nobmob' (yes, they do exist) mates to let me know on your behalf if one of them changes their mind.. one is iffy at the moment...
xox
.... plan to put on hold any aspirations I had of making a podium finish in this my first 100km Dirtworks
(having completed two 50km versions, three 100km Flings, and that stupid angry doctor, to date) as I plan to ride with
Christine & Stuart just to take pictures of their slow and lingering journey.
I want to see their smiles slowly disappear from their faces to be replaced by infighting and downright bitchyness.
I pity the poor person that yells “track” to Christine at the 78km mark, he is so dead meat!
I may even take a video camera and make a documentary of it.
I might call it “Are we there yet?” He! He! He!
Anybody with other suggestions please come forward.
Oh I’m so looking forward to this race.
Pikey

The Liver is Evil and must be punished

You're assuming they make the 78km mark .
Surely Pikey there will be no one behind Stuart & Christine at the 78km mark to yell track other than you recording their plight, unless of course someone decides to change their entire groupset and do a fork service track side.
John.
Is there a category for 'Best Comedy' at this year's bicycle film festival?
are you planning to visit the First Aid again?!!!
Yeah just ride near me. I'll patch up anyone that falls off. I've had good practice on Rob and Tien already.
no seriously I am.
I don't know what is funnier, Pikey having aspirations of a podium finish, Blondie and I bitching at 70km, that normally starts at about 35km when she wants to pull over for yet another nature stop, visions of passing Rob, prostate at the final water station waiting for the slops bus with his "big bike" acting as a pillow or people actually paying money to see a video of it all.
I am making no predictions, other than we have entered
Except for with you Grover. Just how well do you think you know me that you can make jokes like that. Go back to your mates Bert and Ernie will you, besides, you stole my reply
(Obviously John this reply is TIC so please don't take offence)
Buck, are you the common denominator that makes people fall?
Let there be light
I would be wary about Buck's offer because it seems like people are always stacking with him around
you had better hope Delicious isn't reading this thread... I think you meant Groover not Grover!
Anyway, you lot... someone has to finish last!!
I know how much he prefers that spelling of his name.
Let there be light
can't wait to see your face at the end of your first 100km!
by the time WE finish most of you will be half way home.. we dont mind though, we are staying on the Sunday night too!
What I'm most looking forward to is trying to extract civil conversation from Ms Bubbly at 4.00am on race morning, while Gazza strips for all and sundry, Steve recounts the nutrition benefits of cremey rice and Whisperer and Shaun play dualling wind trainers.
Christine even if you don't want to wake at 4.00am the 20 other Nobs who are awake will make it impossible for you to sleep.
So much to look forward to.
couple of hours
Let there be light
I can lend you my wind trainer so you can join the Steve's & Whisperer for the early morning warm up
you forgot to mention the joys of Tien rustling a plastic bag at all odd hours of the night or Carlgroover who likes to get up, eat breakfast and CHAT about five hours before he rides, or the fifteen thousand toilet breaks you boys need in the middle of the night!
Cupcake, while it is tempting and thank you for the offer...but no thanks!
IF we get the Church again I am thinking a designated wind train area may be set up - in one of the cabins far far away..where happy chatty morning people can also congregate....
Well?
Let there be light
i willl enjoy the peace and solitude! lol
Four and a half months of this chatter is going to be funny.
it will wear off thank goodness!
at least I hope it will...
No chance Stuart is involved.
wear off after a few very long training rides....
Bernd
Um, maybe the bloke that has to go to emergency to get a scratched elbow and bruised ankle looked at.
And as for you Damien, I'm really not sure how to take that? BTW I saw a pic of you standing astride your bike on the weekends training ride, just how many months are you?
Yeah yeah I know, yours'll be gone long before mine ever will
Let there be light
Your good value Stuart.
I will say it was my bad side and terrible light damn all these amateur photographers Gazza understands.
See you on the start line at the 100.
I'm thinking you'll be home in bed before I see that line again, or does everyone plan on hanging around to help pack up the the gear for the guy that won't be able to walk?
Let there be light
Hi Christine
While I wasn't the last finisher in last years 100k, I was not far off.....
I'll probably be keeping you company along the Womerah range this time, but only if you wait for me !
CB
Last year if you remember we hung aroung till the 100's finished then drove 2 hours to Gosford then
another 1.5 hours home still managing to beat those waiting in the ferry queue.
This year with me doing it SS I'll be tempted to take my lights (just in case), so I don't think traffic will be problem.
We should make sure we have some provisions (beer, dead animal product and bread) and eat dinner before we head off.
sounds good to me, the more the merrier - I was thinking about posting our 100 as a social ride anyway!!
Paul, I have to confess, the thought of a beer on track sounds sooooo tempting but I doubt we will have time to stop that long - how many hours do they let people struggle out there before they pick them up in a car.. I take it they DO collect people?
That's the wrong attitude Christine. Tell yourself you will finish (which you will).
Now get back to training
They give you a beer on the finish line so be sure to push hard to get it before it turns warm in the sun!
I was thinking of you as I planned an evil ride this morning and wondering if I could get you to ride it with me!! lol
Sure thing. I'm resting my knee this week so should be good to go by the weekend. Just make sure your slacker riding partner comes along
