I am 203cms tall and I am after a XXL 29er - prefer dual suspension.

I was looking at a Specialized StumpJumper but there seem to be none in the REGION until about September - surely someone has a couple lying around?!

Laughing out loud

Yes, I have been chatting to Morgan about his bike - I am very jealous. Sadly, with the exchange rate the way it is at the moment, you have to be a billionaire to afford one - the old StumpJumper is still within (cough) range (if I sell the fridge and washing machine - it is all about priorities at the end of the day though).

get yorself one of those newfangled Aussie Home Loan credit cards I saw yesterday on TodayTonightNever - only 9.99% for the rest of your life!

Not that I condone that kind of behaviour, but HSBC have zero percent on balance transfers right now. Spend up on one, transfer to zero percent for 6 months, then pay it off of course, and give it back before the fee kicks in. Erm... I might not be eligible. Might have done that before with them Eye-wink

At my workplace we sell Specialized bikes and should you be over 18 and have a job then you can finance any bike over $800 retail and get no interest finance requiring a 20% deposit. It doesn't have to be where I work. Any shop will have the same scheme. Avoid credit cards.

Is this with Flexi-Rent? If so beware. The total repayments equal almost double the bike. If you take out insurance it only covers you at home, which household will also do (and often they'll make you claim on that first). If you want to give the bike back as they claim you can you have to pay out the balance first (and you don't keep the bike!!) or to keep it at the end, you have to pay another months balance and a dollar.

The shop I went to made it all sound great. It's only when you look at the small print you realise the pitfalls.!!

We have that system also. The one I was describing is like regular finance. Just like buying a fridge from Harvey Norman.

Wonder how may people take up the Flexi Rent if you have 'traditional' finance as well?
