Last time I tried this I knew I could go faster, this time I knew that was all I had! Pretty much the whole lap was around my max HR. Felt good.
I decided that I needed to get my fast lap training in hand before the Sydney 24 in 3 weeks so I spent most of the afternoon at Manly Dam, and this was my best time, despite a silly Sam Hill style slide out on the planks (again!), some tree jumping out at me and going the wrong way (don't ask).
Happy with the time but if I could shave off 20 seconds and get into the 31's that would make me even happier.
I followed a chap on a blue Yeti hard tail down to the Hydraulics Lab, he was hauling, especially for a rigid. If you are reading this mate, hope you fixed your flat OK.
Oh, and the chap with his arm in a sling, hope you mend soon
