Manly Dam Rangers would like to remind riders to keep off the track for a few days after heavy rain.
Damage to the track is dramatically reduced if riders stick to this wet weather 'rule'.
I was keen to go for a ride today, but with the midweek rain and the intermittent bucketings we got today, I elected to stay off the trail. Seems that others don't respect the rule, though. I saw quite a few guys heading up through King St, one on a red/black Giant HT and another guy on a XC full susser. Wasn't impressed.
I'm not one for the proliferation of signs, but the current council strategy isn't working and I reckon a few "trail etquette" reminders scattered around the trail might be in order.
there's no official closure (yet), but that doesn't mean we can show some initiative and stay away till it dries out
cheers
where would be dry enough or isn't affected?
