I think this should be good training for the Mont so entered for the 50. I'm heading down for the day only and have room for another person and bike if anyone lives in the south of Sydney.
Let's see a few more women enter this one...should be lots of fun! Smiling

Does anyone know what the course will be like?

I have space if any one is looking for a lift. Will be traveling down on Sat.

Well all the good plans are out the window after an injury sustained this morning. Tore my right hip flexor muscle and ligaments! Too many lunges with 10kgs and one over exertion! Ouch!!
I need to rest it properly for the Mont. Hope everyone else has a great ride!! I'm so jealous.... Sad

That's a nuisance. Heal fast.

Yes I will be trying hard, don't want to miss the Mont. Lots of ice today and tomorrow Smiling

me into 1st place Masters, I can't put a foot wrong lately since getting the sponsorship deal with JetBlack I've won a 24hr had 2 2nd places in the 8hr races with The Mighty Lap Dancers and now 1st in the MTB101 and about 8th outright but still waiting for official results. As V said the course was demanding and kept you busy the whole time, most of the single track was great and not an issue with it being used by motos, a few spots weren't great but still much better than doing fire road. The rocky bits were good fun and challenging, possibly a little too hard as there was quite a few that went OTB. The track was a bit dusty but improved with each lap. The promoter was very good with a well organised event and he's keen to make any improvements he can in the future.

This was by far the hardest race i have done so far (two 4 hours and two 8 hours to date)but i did give it my all and only 1 mechanical with my fork seals drying out and my trying to loosen them up.Looks like they just needed a clean.
I also made sure to monitor my HR lap times and my average heart rate per lap was 84% 85% 83% 82% 80% 78% 81%.
Total average for 6 hours 47 mins was 81% and 5852 calories.
Great to see John, Gavin and Vanina out there giving it their all. You guys are inspirational, keep up the good work .
