Oaks Up and Back Twilight Ride
I was hoping someone may be interested in doing this on Saturday 21st - this would be the week before Seans birthday ride (my training ride for a training ride!)
I realise other people still have a life outside of bike riding but sadly mine is being turned around as the panic grows for this stupid 100...

Yep I'd be interested in a ride like this. Will see closer to the date.
would love to do another ride up there... but will be enjoying a birthday dinner
Depends if the boss is in a good mood.
What time?
don't really know - sixish/sevenish? whenever suited anyone happy enough to come along.. would like to ride back in the dark as its such fun!
Fair chance I'd make this
Can do this have sold it to the boss as extra training for the solo.
Will be a big day with the Oaks up plus extras in the morning followed up with the standard Oaks up and back in the evening.
Post it up.
You could just ride up and down all day from your 6am start until the twilight ride starts and see how many laps you can get in, it would also save working out what to do in the middle
Or stay at home for and supervise my daughters 13th birthday sleepover with 6 of her friends ......they should be ok on their own dont you think ????? What could teenagers get up to ???
What pace are you looking to do for the ride , as i dont want to hold the dirtworks dudes up ......i do need some Mont training though !!!
This old man will need a short sleep sometime in the middle of the day my normal morning ride up plus the extra's is great and I am really enjoying it but the 4.30am wake up and 80 odd k's takes it toll around about 1.00pm.
Hey looking at doing 4th April(away 21st) Oaks, ingar, ando. Meet at Glenbrook Station carpark 7am. Its about 100km takes about 6-8hrs...scarey...
April 4 is Mont weekend... just in case you wonder why there aren't any takers. Nothing to do with the mental-nesseses of your ride
I just did this ride on Saturday http://nobmob.com/node/8296. We took it steady with plenty of stops for hydration and nutrition so took closer to 9 hours.
I'd definitley ride this again.
Phil
What time did you start the ride?
It was just after 9am when we finally got going. We spent a good 40mins dicking around setting up the bikes.
Ingar was pretty brutal, but totally doable. After getting soaked crossing the creek I managed to get up it ok. The gate at the top isn't very bike friendly though.
