Menai Social Ride
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Being a member of a single car family it looks like I'm going to have to ride locally again next weekend, as the boss has plans to use the car Saturday and Sunday. (It is her car, so can't complain too much)
Planning on tackling my usual trails, a mix of some fire trail, tricky climbs, fast flowing single tracks and some of the easier less technical free ride runs, but not looking to venture on the really technical free ride areas.
Pace will be easy to moderate and there will be regular stops to ensure we keep together.
Haven't rode in a group at Menai for a few weeks now so would be great to have some company.

If you are happy to go at a relaxed pace, I'll join you. I'm just getting over the flu (or whatever it was that struck me like a truck).

To be honest, social rides at Menai are always going to be at an easy pace due to there being so many tracks and trails going off in various direction making it quite easy to loose each other. We don't want that, so there's always regular stops at junctions etc.
Also there are a few technical areas in Menai that are quite ridable but if you've not seen it before it can be better to have a look first, so another opportunity for people to have a breather or catch up.
When I post a ride next time at Menia I think I'll say easy pace but reasonable level of fitness needed, as it's not fast as such but some of the climbing can be hard making it quite a tiring ride.

I just tore my hip flexor this morning so off the bike for at least this weekend anyway.I'll be up for more though whenever as enjoyed the others. Have a good ride.
sounds great chris...looking forward to it. i haven't ridden there before and having a guide is priceless. hoping the pace will reach moderate.
