Thats just what cutter sent, I thought the rounds would end up being harder to work with and was going to send them back, but in the end they worked out ok.
Does this rig have low beam when passing someone so they dont fall into their shadow?
Will the quest for more light in these mobile electric sunshine units see a limitation in output mandated or an etiquette put forward for large events?
Ok chill, its Friday, there is a big event with night riding this weekend and I am not serious.
We simply must have a light off at the Mont. Categories: Unlimited, Below 15V, Below 8V. Of course points for looks, engineering, efficiency.
Looks fantastic mate!!!
cant wait to see it in action!
have you got a cnc machine in the shed????
Just curious, they look to be in series. Is this normal?
Gary you missed your calling as Mr Mum, you should have been a boiler maker.
When they go on sale commercially, I'll have one.
@ 700ma this puppy needs 20.4V!
Actually Loz, the set here in my hand[1] is only pushing 18.7v across 6 XPEs. But you know that 'cos I told you yesterday!
[1]
can you confirm that it is actually pulling 700ma?
because according to the data sheet, at 700ma the Vdrop per LED should be 3.4V..............

How come its nowhere near?
Maybe I've got it set at 500mA? That would be amusing
I'm not removing the wires from the MaxFlex to test, but will check the programming later.
Don't forget the data sheet isn't all that accurate. You have to take heat and a whole load of other things into account.
As Loz and Rob already know I also seem to be getting around that same voltage across 6 LEDs at the 700mA setting.
I think I hear Betty calling my name.
Or you could build 4 DIY jobbies for the same $$$. Less time in that sort of production line too
If I had the time and not the $$$ I probably would.
Very nice Gary. <mumble>Bl00dy machinists!</mumble>
How come you didn't get XPEs mounted on square MCPCB though? It's sooooo much easier to build with Carlco 10x10mm lenses and square MCPCB.
