Ourimbah cross country race round 4
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
The Ourimbah cross country track is very popular with local riders and a growing number of riders from Sydney and Newcastle areas. The track is usually set between 7 and 9 kilometers for club events but can be shortened to 5 Kilometers and extended to 12 kilometers to suit conditions.
This years Club Championship Series will be run over 10 rounds and for the first time CCOMTB is awarding prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each XC category as follows:
1st place will receive $15 off entry for the next round.
2nd place will receive $10 off entry for the next round.
3rd place will receive $5 off entry for the next round.
Please note that these prizes are only valid for the following round and can't be saved for future races.
Club Membership is $15.00 and lasts for 1 year from the date of payment.

XC Race day Fees are $15.00 plus an additional $15 for an MTBA day license if you don't have one. Registration is from 8am, racing starts at 9.30 sharp.

Great race this morning guys. I'm definatly up for the next one.
Fantastic race today,the track is in the best condition I've seen it fast & grippy .Great turn out of riders as well made it all the more fun.Bring on the next round can't wait
anyone know when the results will get put up?
also, I saw a few photographers out and about... any idea on where those picsa may turn up?

I actually managed to strike up something of a convo with a few of them during laps
(e.g. lap 1. "Hi guys!" lap2. "Hello again, you still here?" lap3 "Where are these pictures going then?").
Unfortunately they were mostly at the end of the Roller coaster so we didn't exactly have time to swap numbers or anything, but I think they said they were going up on the CCOMTBsite. The results will be in the same location, I expect it would take a while as the race numbers were being hand written.
