Boat 'n Bike - something different?

The idea: While we were sitting and admiring the glorious waterview from the end of Long Trail ...we came up with the idea of organising a Boat 'n bike trip over the next few weekends. This would make some use of the trailer boat rusting away in the driveway since the whole family got into cycling...

Here is the idea: Up to 5-6 riders would meet the boat, say on Towlers bay; and we'll transfer bikes & riders from there across the Hawkesbury, past Lion Island to Patonga etc. There the riders could continue on that NP via some (legal) trails and meet the boat a bit further up the Hawkesbury for a return via Bobbin Head or Pittwater / the Basin.

Any suggestions for a good set of trails to make this real? Anyone interested in coming along?

Date: Ideally this should be happening in the next 3-4 weeks before it gets too cold on the water...hey - we could even throw in some o'nite camping somewhere...

Please nominate some spots / tracks where this could work...! Thx in advance.!

Hans how about locking in a date then a series of meetings (after riding) at a nice pub to come up with the final plan?
I am sure there could be some creative options to make a very interesting day of riding/boating.
Happy to help dust off the boat too.
Count me in.
