State Series Round 2 Ourimbah XC
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.

Hey Steve, is this schedule correct? At the previous round here we started 1 minute after the elites.
Hey ladytoast, the above times are taken from the NSWMTB website. http://nswmtb.asn.au/v2/calendar/event.php?eid=2...
This race is also the second state round. there will be a few people racing this one im sure. The track is fanstastic at tthe moment. We rode there on Monday it it was tacky fast and no puddles at all on the singletrack. It will make for some crazy fast racing. It is well worth while watching the elite boy stomp around very fast indeed.....
Cheers Gav
Every time I come away from Ourimbah I say it's the best I've seen it. Bottom line, it's the best track we have (I my humble onions). The guys that maintain it are legends. Imagine having something like that closer to (my) home
I presume you will be racing in elite?
Dylan, there is no wayin hell iI going to race elite. They'll smoke my ass into the first corner and I then I wont see them again. I will be in expert men trying to stay at the pointy end of the feild I hope.
Had my first race on the singlespeed over the weekend and still waiting to see the lap times to work out if im faster or not.....
At least this weekend you will get to race in your age group which is nice.....
If you were riding what I was riding on the Saturday you wouldn't have even been at that race mate!
But that bloodly seat post incident is still hurting a bit. I kind of hope it is not put on the next installment of rocky trails.... it would be funny to watch though
Man, I can't believe this starts so late. I have a gig that night and there is no way I would get back in time - I might have to cancel this ride
I'm contemplating racing, but it depends what time for 'seniors', and a project I've got going at home.
Anyone have a more detailed timetable than is posted on the website?
Steve01 & Groover - what categories are you racing in?
W
Well, I went and sold my tickets (to Brian Eno no less!!) to race this so it better be good!
See you all there....
Just got an email from Tim Firth
The State round at Fitzroy Falls had the Masters starting at 1.30pm and the different ages within Masters 1 min apart or maybe 5 mins. I expected the 2nd round to be the same however with the email Dylan has put up now has me confused.
I generally don't bother with the details of races until a day or 2 before I'm doing them, that way you just get the latest info. (Thanks BOE) LOL
It was a good day being at the 1st round early, doing a practice lap and walking the tracks watching the other grades doing their races was fun, the pointy end at frightening speeds.
Sitting around in the sun with bikes whizzing past, life could be worse.
Be there John.
Well I hope they can get the start times sorted...... I guess we will need to be there an hour earlier than planned just to make sure we dont miss our race.....
I have asked the organiser of the state rounds to confirm with me the start times. once I hear from him I will post here.
I am with CG on this one it is a good way to spend the day. Nothing quite like watching the top guys get around the course so bloody quick.... and watching at some of the tougher spots is always good. some will have a decent stack im sure!!!
looking forward to it.
Hey I have had start time confirmed for 9am for the elites so it looks the original post is correct. this info came from the organiser of the state round.
See you all tomorrow.
