A ride near sydney ...
A few weeks back someone posted a ride which you could reach by heading west on the M2 motorway for a little while, not too far though. Unfortunately i can't seem to find the post anymore. Can anyone remember it?

I think the one you are talking about is in the Lake Parramatta thread
Here you go dude.

Start and End Point is at the bottom of Ventura Road in Winston Hills.
Take the M2 to the Windsor Road exit, head south a few blocks along Windsor Road and bingo.
There's some nice, quality singletrack in there. Enjoy, it's probably the best kept MTB secret in Sydney.
If you have an iPhone or other GPS device, you can download the KML or GPX file from the link above.
Another guy did a longer version, with navigation comments:

Download an App called "Trails". It's about 3 bucks from memory.
It allows you to search and download rides straight off Everytrail, Mapmyride and other sites and store them in the phone.
You can then use the Trails app to both map your ride and/or help you follow a route uploaded by someone else.
Top little program for the cost of a coffee.
Here's some info http://trails.lamouroux.de/
thanks for the heads up
