Looking forward to this event, hopefully will get to Appin the day before for some practice
- you'll love it. A few challenges here and there. Are you going in a team or solo?
Realised last night that I'm signed up for the AMBC riding clinic on the 20th, so will try and get to Appin this weekend for a few laps.
If you're doing sunday morning training session I might join in. Desperate to get some training in.
Am keen as mustard for this ride
But am oncall that wkend,
trying to get cover for 8hrs isn't that easy either
Otherwise will pop down and say g'day if i'm not working
Am keen for a training lap or 3 though
Am applying for a leave pass now
anyone camping on the sat night for this one?
I'll probably be staying at Mum's (20minutes from Appin) or driving out from Freshwater early in the morning
I'll leave early from the northern beaches. It is pretty quick getting there that time of day.
Had an absolute ball at Appin today, track was in pretty good condition. Looking forward to the 8hr next weekend, when I'll remember to bring my helmet... woops
of this race. Had a nasty stack on saturday that resulted in a completely torn knee ligament and a crack in the tibial plateau (that is the thick part under the knee of the lower leg). I hope the rest of you will enjoy it and kick some arse, I'll be hobbling on crutches for some time I suspect. Seeing a specialist on monday and hopefully I'll know what I'm up for after that appt.
cheers
staffan
Hey staffe
there's a lot of it about at the moment !
Mend soon

My own fault and stupidity. Launched into a jump w/o having the faintest idea what was behind it....
Cheers,
staffan
Hope you have a smooth recovery
i'll be pulling the pin on this one. i've never ridden appin and i've just given both bikes a full service. i couldn't think of anything more frustrating than riding around and buggering up one of them.
is this another example of you morphing into the full precious scummer that can only ride a mtb when the tracks are cross country and totally dry...
Release this george and bring back the old george...
I will be there.
The Epic was serviced this week, tonight I'll be working on the Pitch installing new gear cable and changing the rear derailleur.
The track was dry last weekend, hopefully the rain hasn't affected it too much.

I might be siting this one out also
than buggering the bike up - not being able to ride at all:-(
