I am required in Manly Sunday arvo
So thought I could post a ride to kill 2 birds etc
With all the hoo ha I dare not post the dam or red hill
So TH it is
I'm thinking the old Dick holes and centre (did someone say sniggle - not me)
Then along to Salvation and a few others maybe - I'm open to any suggestions
Unfortunately there's a fair amount of fire trail and tar stuff, but we always manage to have a bit of fun
This is my only ride this week so I won't be rose smelling
But I won't be setting any land speed records either - all are welcome and points to drop out along the way

Who's in?
Andy Bloot, pieboy98, Benny-B, Mr Lights, jdb, Steve C (6 riders)

Reading the post again I just noticed that you have specified a 4 hour ride. I have not ridden at TH before. Will it be easy to point me to the way out after about 2 hours?

Benny

Easy to get out after 2 hours Benny
i turn right (maybe) and you turn left
Easy to find your way back

Yeh Bernd. Loving it in the mountains
Bit cold, but a CRC order sorted me out
Don't know many trails yet, but plenty on offer
Would like to catch up with you all for a dam ride soon

Am keen for this ride
but will have to see how the back pulls up after a few laps of Appin today
Dont want to be back on compo for another week or so
Like Benny-B will only be free for 2 hours,
maybe Duck holes and Centre then home??

Andy Bloot's picture

I think that's what we'll do
And then I, and whoever's keen, will go the Long (maybe perimeter)
And a few little bits off there that are always a bit of fun
I've got at least 4 hours to kill
See y'all in the morning
I've got a long trip tomorrow so a few wines and the fart sack for me

I wouldn't touch perimiter, I did it this morning and it was a complete bog, the worst Ive ever seen it. I entered from the japanese school to avoid the mud, didn't work very well, as there was mud for at least a K and a half past the entry, so i'd avoid perimiter from the eastern end at the moment. However once you were past about a K and a half, perimiter was ok, still wet and slow, but rideable, long track was fine for the entirety of its length. So if you can be bothered with the road ride, id enter perimiter from the western end, to avoid the worst of the mud and jump on to long trail from there. It will be much nicer for your breaks and for your drivetrain.
