For all you people that were glued to the TV in support of the blues, or if you couldnt make Wednesday's ride for any reason - dont despair! I propose a night ride doing Duckholes and Centre Track on Thursday night, returning in time for Food and beer at the Tavern.
Come one come all... Even Queenslanders I suppose.

Terrey Hills = Mudbath
The perimeter track was the wettest I've ever seen. We dodged lots of puddles (ponds) that you could hide a 4WD in.
Limited fun...drive-train eating grinding paste.
We even bailed out to the road after coming back from Long Trail - even LT was muddy. Avoid it for a week.

Perimeter/Long would no doubt have been a boggy marsh last night. I'm not prepared to put my drivetrain through such atrocities!
That is why myself and fellow stubborn blues supporters will be riding the much better draining Duckholes/centre loop tonight..

Thought I'd quietly mention I had a potter round Sparrow Hill yesterday morning and it was excellent, though a bit tacky in a couple of spots from the rain on Wednesday. Oh, I also had to go through 3 x 1 inch deep puddles which got my frame dirty and caused me to have to wash off the offending lumps of muck before I could touch it.
It was horrible.....
See you at Sparrow on Saturday mate... we'll see just how muddy the canberra mud actually is...
Bring your toothbrush to work that dirt out of your derailleurry bits afterwards...
