Stolen 06 Specialized Stumpy

I had my 2006 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp stolen from Narrabeen this week. It is pretty distinct - it is the US model, so was blue with this colour not being sold in Australia.

If anyone sees it around, please let me know. While it is insured, this pisses me off!!

Man, that sucks. Get the serial number and description reported to the Police and to all the pawn shops and second hand stolen good dealers - ahem - Cash Converters and the like immediately. If you jump on this the chances are good that you will get it back.

Thanks for that Hawkeye.

I have tracked down the original receipt. The serial number etched into the frame under the bottom bracket is M5EJ11273. The bike is the blue US edition. The only different things are brown ODI grips and two big (inch) long gouges on the seat stay on the derailleur side. This was caused by the chain after I taped it to the seat stay after snapping my hanger in Dirtworks 2 years back.

I have provided this information to Police and will also contact pawn brokers. Plus have a few EBay notifications set up.

Tim,

Will keep my eyes peeled around the traps. As you point out, there won't be that many bike like yours out on the trails.

If I do find it and someone is on it at the time, I'll try to make sure they have a clear understanding of the pain and inconvenience that you've experienced.

But maybe now is the time to get a "big bike" to join Elliot and me on the fun stuff!
