Glenbrook
Lower mountains eastern escarpment trails
Hi,
I am a year 11 student currently doing a research project for geography. It involves picking an issue in your local area and researching it and providing the results in the form of a 10 minute presentation.
I have chosen to do mine on the Blue Mountains eastern escarpment bike trails as it interests me and i have seen the issue reported numerous times in the local paper.
I was wondering if anyone has any information, links, contacts ect. That would be able to help me with this work.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
The Oaks, Woodford to Glenbrook with Lights
Glenbrook station carpark.
Just a social ride, not a race. I have not done much riding the last 6 months so going up the hills wont be quick, but going down should be fun. Not really for beginners, but if you starting out and want to get lights (good lights) and have a go then send me a PM to discuss. Gets pretty cold this time of year so make sure your rugged up to begin with and then be able to shred off some gear once you hit a hill or two.
This one goes out to Tim.
This little fella wast right in the middle of the trail on the very last single trail log jump before the car park. He wouldnt move either, i had to tap him with a twig and even then it took a while!
Up, and up again, then back, starting at Glenbrook
Glenbrook station car park.
With a chance the sun will continue to shine Sunday, it's high time to up the training again! And this will be a great way to do it.
From Glenbrook up The Oaks, Ingars and then back via Andersons. This is an absolutely AWESOME set of trails, that make for a fantastic day's riding.
Normally, this route pretty much has everything, but missing this time will be any singletrack; I'll be giving the (short!) singletrack at the tail end of the Oaks a rest after all the recent rain!.
All up, it's a tad over 100k, which I aiming to do in under seven hours. Hmmm ...
Euroka Oaks
Start at the Glenbrook gate into the National Park.
Through the causeway and up to the Ironbarks picnic area.
Down the firetrail into Euroka clearing and then up Bennetts Ridge firetrail.
Back onto the Oaks firetrail up to the gate at the top of the single track.
Turn around at the gate and head down the Oaks single track.
Back through the causeway and finish back at the Glenbrook gate.

Elizabeth Lookout - looking east. The M4 Nepean River bridge can be seen and the Sydney skyline is off in the distance somewhere.
