Fluid Trainers
Hi folks,
After many years avoiding the wind trainer this weather has forced me to dig out the old trusty machine. Unfortunately it's well past its used by date so I'm considering a new one.
All reviews say the Kurt Kinetic is the best but at $500 I'll pass. T7 have a Force Fluid on special - delivered for $213. Anyone used it and care to post their opinions?
FYI I happy to just use the roadie (save the mtb tyres) and prefer as quiet as possible.
Thanks
Top up sealant?
Hi all,
I'm running tubeless and got a puncture today - a piece of steel ended up in my tyre. I pulled it out and a bit of sealant came out. I put it hole side to the ground and lent on it and it self sealed. So far all good. I was on my way home and the ride home was fine. I've since pumped it up hard and it's pretty solid.
Do I need to add more sealant or just let it be as it's all good? If so what's the best way (I've heard of people using a syringe??)
FYI the tyres are only about 4 weeks old and a lot of sealant was used originally and all is working fine.
Thanks heaps.
Wind breaker....
Lightweight & wind resistant riding jacket?? dollar wise under $100 would be good.

Interesting bike tech
Being stuck inside with the dreaded lurgy while the sun shines brightly outside, I've been getting my mtb fix by surfing the web.
Interesting new XC shock from Euro suspension shop BOS - under 200g!

Probably won't fit on my Scalpel, but it seems fine on this Rocky Mountain Element:
Bike plates for your car
In case peps here don't realise
Every Xmas hols love the variations of number plates you see. Some cardboard, some have taken the time to go to Bunnings buy stick on letters and numbers and place em on a board - all illegal if you didn't know.
Saw a CX9 in StIves nice bikes looking like they just came back from a ride in Terry hills - no plate at all. Bad news big fine for all of the above if you don't know - sad and sorry tales here.

Advice needed
My 2009 Gaint Trance x1 frame has corrosion under paint on the head tube, the rest of the frame is in good condition. Would this still be under warranty if not what would be the best way to fix it
all comments appreciated
Degreaser
Looking at a cheaper alternative of buying all the time bottles of the already cheap Torpedo7 bike degreaser, but sick of paying freight all the time.
Searching online, seems that Simple Green is a popular product in the US. I can see Bunnings is selling this stuff.
