Ayup Light Upgrades
I'm considering upgrading my Ayup lights (2009 versions) and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on this.
Looking at upgrading the intermediate light on the bars for the new "flood" version from Ayup.
Cheers,
Chris.
SONlight bike light
About a month or so I saw someone post on here about a new local (Perth) company that was selling a bike light. I decided to have a look into them and from what I saw, sold my Ayups and bought a twin set of the SONlight SL2000 Mk2. I have also decided to do a rambling review which is a little lengthy, but gives my personal observations about the lights. I haven't done a lot of Mountain bike riding with them yet, just one trip out, but I have found these awesome for both road and MTB.
Feel free, or not, to read my review.

TONIGHT: Social Night Ride: Terrey Hills [Perimeter + Long Trail]
Terrey Hills Tavern - Eastern Car park
Social night ride - Perimeter & Long trail [Everyone welcome - paced to accommodate newbies, too!]
Moderate pace...still recovering from the MTB overnighter...
...plus we can give an update on all the anecdotes from the fabulous Blue Mountains trip, the epic single tracks and funny campfire tales...(and plan the next one)
Naturally we'll have a cleansing ale at the Tavern afterwards (since we missed out on Bernd's homebrew!!!)
See you this eve...
Hans
Want to order ayups but cannot decide on beams
Hello,
I cannot decide which to buy yet. I keep hearing different ideas about which beams are better for our use.
I cannot see us doing any crazy night riding, mainly fire trail and possibly some single track. Any users of ayups seen both beams of the current range of lights in the flash care to offer some guidance?
I have seen the beam shots on the website but I would like to know how people are going out there in the real world with the ayups. Also just curious how hard it is to get the beam changed afterwards? is it as simple as a lens change? or the actual light itself?

Hi,
I'm selling my (new) luxeon ayup lightset to upgrade to the (newer) cree set. They've only been used for three rides and are a top lightset - Unfortunately for my wallet, I have a need to have the latest and greatest!!
Price is $330 for the full kit including
2 x gun metal grey lights
1 x handlebar and 1 x helmet mount (modified with velcro/elastic to avoid having to cut cable ties all the time!
2 x 3 hr batteries
1 x 6 hr battery
charger, pouches...
From ayup, the kit costs $395.
Lights Again.... I know.... I know...
Hey guys, I know this topic comes and goes all the time and some people might be tired of it, but I need some insight. I want to get some kind of lighting system for my bike in order to be able to go to night rides, but since I’ve just bought a new and expensive bike, my treasurer/better half/CFO cut my bike funding to a bare minimum so I got to get something that is really value for money. I was thinking of Ay Up (www.ayup.com.au) as you can put a simple system for $180~200 with 2 3w LEDs. Has anyone used or at least seen one of those up close?
Cheers,
Leo.
