Sydney's roads
I was reading the paper this morning when I stumbled across this article on the appaling state of Sydney's rodes if you're on a bike and just how bloody dangerous it is.

6 Foot Track
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Post if interested, and we will arrange a meeting point.
Leon and I are doing the 6 foot track on Friday. He is giving me a lift to Katoomba from St Ives. We will ride the track until we get tired, then head back.
I'm thinking that we would leave St Ives between 8 and 9.

Remember When
While we were down at the Towlers Bay section of this ride I commented, "Remember when we used to ride Towlers Bay on it's own, 'cos the ride out was so tough? And now it's just an insignificant bump tacked on to make up some kays".
Ah, the memories!
Sat 16th 8:30am ride West Head
I was going to delete the 'archived' forums but isn't it nice to look back and see how far some of us have come! Eh MEEE

50km riders: What is your target time at Mogo?

Wiseman's Ferry ride - CANCELLED
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Wisemans Ferry car park
One last hit-out before tapering off for the Angry Doctor..
This will be the 'tech softie' 100k version, up the Western Commission Track, follow the (surprisingly technical) GNR to Mogo Creek and back down the gravel to Wiseman's thru St Albans to test your mental powers of endurance. Starting a bit earlier this time and stopping as little as possible so there's a chance of grabbing "a cup o' tea an' a slice of cake Aunt Sally" at the Fickle Wombat in St Albans & get back to the car before dark..

Fun in a carpark?

Although this looks like a fall could be painful. Imagine this kind of stuff built over a foam pit - how cool would that be? For softies?

MTB in Beijing
Found this while exploring the official Olympics website -
'Mountain Bike became an event of the Olympic Games in 1996. Its course is uneven since mountain bikes use flat tires.'
What the?? something amiss with the translation!
