Pike customised to shorter travel
Has anyone tried this or have thoughts on whether it's worthwhile? I'm not talking volume reducer tokens that just change the spring curve, but an actual change in travel length.
I'm riding a 120 revelation RL at the mo and it doesn't have enough chutzpah for my kind of Sydney riding. Opinions welcome

Saturday social ride all levels welcome
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
If the dam is open then the ride is on, if it is closed or too wet we will ride elsewhere.
anywhere rideable up the coast atm
Anyone up the Coast able to comment on weather any of the trails up there would be rideable by the weekend?? I.e Ourimbah,Glenrock,Awaba. I turned up to Ourimbah two weeks ago to find trees down across nearly the entire track, devastated! It's got to be one of the best xc course's close to Sydney but it looked like it was going to need a fair bit of tlc to get up and running again.
Shimano M8000 XT 1x11
Shimano have just done a media day and the first reviews are starting to come out. Hopefully the release date of August is wrong as I'd love to put this on my new bike build.
Going by the prices in this article and converting to A$ the full groupset excluding wheels, FD and front shifter comes to $1472.
For Sale: Xtr 10speed shifter
Bought a brand new xtr 10 speed shifter but it doesn't work with my levers 
its a right hand 10 speed m980 ispec b xtr shifter.
Awesome price for an awesome bit of kit.

The Oaks update for 05 May
Rode 3/5/15 - Causeway at 65cm (ridable!). Open on weekend but closed weekdays. See national parks website for info. Track fine for riding top to bottom.
