20% off everything at Anaconda

Just got an SMS from Anaconda saying final hours for their 20% off everything sale, ending at 9pm tonight, didn't even know they were having a sale but if you are in the market for clothes etc etc for the bike they have quiet a large range, not to mention all their camping gear as well. They also have quite an extensive range of biking accessories as well as a good range of bikes but don't think they stock much in the way of mechanical spares. No I don't work for them

Pre BBQ Ride

When:
Sunday, 22 July, 2007 - 08:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam

Given there's an 11am BBQ guess this is the official ride before hand.

Fancy blasting out a couple of laps? Depending on who shows perhaps we could have two quick laps and/or a Bantry Bay option?

UST/Tubed debate resolved?

So... I rode the Jekyll (with the tubed tires) for the first time in a couple of months yesterday. Got a pinch type (think the tire almost rolled while climbing through/up the site of rocky gully) flat despite having 40PSI in them.

Having ridden UST for the last couple months without a hitch think this speaks volumes.

Wednesday night ride anyone??

Hi,

Is anyone interested in a Wednesday night tide this week? Unfortunately I cannot make this Tuesdays ride and am keen to get out and do some km's. Was looking to do the perimeter and long trails at Terry Hills and then the Never Fail Gully. Meet about 7pm at the tavern.

rock shox pike 454

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Rock shox pike 454 dual air for sale.
I purchased a bike a month ago with these forks and am looking for a burlier/heavier set to suit my intented ride style. They have literally done one lap of manly dam since new and are spotless. Amazing forks with good reviews intented for all mountain use. They have the handlebar mounted pop lock system and have 20mm maxle bolt through quick release axle. 140mm dual air with positive/negative chamber and rebound adjust. They retail over $1000 so if interested make an offer?!
Alternatively looking to swap for marzocchi 66 or alike.

Alright! Mind is made up!!

Kincumber it is!

The "new track advisors" are telling me it has both nice XC and DH parts. For this ride I would like to do more of the XC and actually do some 'riding' Eye-wink.
Meaning yes we will do the DH jumps (or at least two of us and it's not me Smiling ) and tricks but won't spend much time on playing and picture taking at each spot.
(Of course only to have more time for lunch after Smiling

I hope that suits everyone.
Can't wait!!!

Cheers
Carolin

Gazza's New Bike

Wow... now he's gone and done it. Gazza says he's got a new bike... picked it up from Manly Cycles this arvo he said.

He didn't mention any brands, but looking at their site, this sounds closest match to his description:

Not sure that's the one I would have chosen... but still if he's happy, that's the main thing Eye-wink
