Rough and sandy

It seems little travelled, so don't be surprised when you come find trees across the track like this.

Bit too much sand on the trail too, but not enough that it spoils your fun Smiling

Technical Climb

I can't think why he's not hitting this hard!

Coming from the top of The Oaks Firetrail and turning off right down St Helena there's a couple of sections like this, and thankfully more of the same in a downward direction.

Trail View

In the top to bottom direction the climb just seen through the trees here awaits.

Killer Climb

Forget that 6km grind up from the gate, this 400m climb is the killer!

Oaks Clearing

Going down? 6Km of pretty much flat out firetrail coming your way.

Going up? OK, well guess you've earned a break by now, but the hardest part is yet to come!

Oaks Gate

Skirt round this to the right and start climbing!

Coming from the opposite direction just remember the gate is there and take a short break before you the single trail.

Oaks/Nepean Corner

Turn left for the Nepean Lookout Firetrail, The Oaks Firetrail heads straight on.

Pisgah Ridge Corner

The main road goes round to the left, out to Nepean Lookout. That smaller trail ahead leads... erm... somewhere else. To another dead end lookout I think.

Pisgah Rock

Yes, take care!
