Cycling in the Capital Region (Greater Canberra Area)

Survey About cycling in the Canberra region - anywhere from southern highlands to Thredbo and snowy mountains.

Was posted on Farkin, as the original poster put it:

If you have been riding in Canberra or the region please take the time to fill this one out (about 5 minutes)

More information about cycling leads to more facilities. The guy who is doing the research is a road/touring cyclists and needs to know that fat tire is where it is at!

Canberrans will either read this on The Berm or CORC websites, but if you're coming to the ACT to ride Sparrow Hill, maybe pre the MONT, please at least read this first:

The Bicenntenial Trail

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Liz and I have done a bit of riding and always seem to be coming across this horse trail marked as the 'bicentennial trail', marked with a red and yellow striped triangle.

it's actually a great way to get around the outer of canberra, mostly off-road.

Does anyone have any canberra maps of this trail they can link? the national trail website is hopeless.
