The bell tolls #2
All those who cycle in NSW will be aware of the law requiring a bell installed on your bike or face a $106 fine. The law has been around for a long time, however, with the recent increase in penalties for cycling infringements purported to be for cyclist safety Police focus upon this and the issuing of penalties has increased significantly.
Tracks for Cyclocross bikes

Great site and loving the trail maps. However is there anyway to know if these trails are suitable for CX bikes? Or is there a way to filter out more flat mountain trail for CX bikes? Thanks in advance
MTB trail for the new Malabar Headland National Park
The planning process is underway for the future of Malabar Headland in Sydney's east and people in the surrounding areas are eager for a nearby mountain bike trail. Currently there is not a single trail in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Please help all the mountain bikers in the Eastern Suburbs by advocating for this trail. The project needs all the publicity it can get to have a chance at becoming a reality!!
This petition currently has over 600 supporters, but the more the better to convince the decision-makers to allow this project.
Bantry Bay update for 03 Apr
All is well
Rode Serrata and some fire trail in the area, all is well. The park seems to drain quite quickly so despite recent rain, everything was completely dry

No surprise. Closed as per their website after 5mm of rain. Forecast is for more rain on Wednesday so suggest it might be at least late Friday before it opens again. As always check the icon on the their website. https://www.australianbotanicgarden.com.au/

Convict 68Km 2016 race
Hi
I am going to do the convict 68KM, I did ride the last Convict 50km and the last Husky 50km.
Anyone who rode the 68km last year or other convict events I am interested in your thoughts and experience on the event.
1) They say that the 68km has single track in it, how technical is this single track and what pecentage is the single track too fire trail?
2) Does the 68km have the down hill section of the old 50km with the hazadous gutters in it?
3) Any hints on the canoe as I am keen on riding it.

All good. Most of the long grass is now trimmed back. Track is clear, fast and generally is good condition .... but as always a few laps at Mt Annan is hard work.

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 13 Mar
Closed Sunday (see their website). Closed 14th to 16th March due to track maintenance (see FB page).
They are having an ongoing battle trying to get the weeds under control - hopefully a big push will get it done and make it rideable again.
