Had a spin this afternoon.

Obvious that there has been a lot of rain in the last few days, but the trails are generally dry (read tacky). There is the odd puddle and the rainforest and cinderblock chute are damp and slippery, but the trails are fine to ride.

Take care on the bridge after camel back climb, the first slat has collapsed and needs to be replaced.

I saw a snake today and heard reports of others. Actually wildlife was out in force, echidnas and other random big lizards as well. Humidity however was terrible.

New section on the red loop is coming along nicely as well. Not rideable yet, but will add a long decent before going into the flush section.

Decent run tonight, track is in really good shape, dry and fast!. There are a few puddles in the usual spots but nothing major, plus the new trail work is setting well, it looks great!!!

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Just a heads up that the Awaba VVC CLassic 10 Hour is on on Saturday 5th march.

Entries are open at http://www.twentysixinches.com/vvc/vvc-enter

What's the VVC 10 hour ??

The info is all at http://www.twentysixinches.com/, but to cut a long story short it's a race with the emphasis on fun. Entire teams can get out and lap together and the sausage sizzle and post ride brew are on us.

Riders are capped at 150 and we would love to see you there.
