27.5" outside diameter cf. to 26"?

I am interested in perhaps putting a 27.5" wheel in the back of my 2011 Trance, but am confused about whether it would fit. Reason is to get the rolling advantage, and also to slacken the head angle a bit for racing.

Logic says it might not fit, given the difference between the two should be about 3/4" (or 20mm).

However, this website says a 27.5 with a Pacenti Neo-Moto 2.1 is 702mm (27.6") wide, which would fit easily:

gday, does anyone have any experience with x fusion forks, specifically the sweep 27.5, they seem to review well and the prices are very good, much better than the other two, cheers

Magura brake issue

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Can anybody suggest how to fix Magura mt6 brakes when the pistons (and pads) do not move sufficiently to engage the rotor? When depressing the lever the pads move inward a normal distance but on release the pads simply return to their original position. No leaks are evident. Thanks

looking for advice on a shoe pedal combo for endure riding. At the moment I'm using a shimano xc shoe with xt race pedals as this is whats on my hard tail for xc racing i also fitted these same pedals to my fun/enduro bike a 2015 giant trance advanced 0

I find this combo fine for all the riding i have done so far up until we road at golden grove .It was almost impossible to re clip after unclipping to get round the tight steep corners .Flats and some 510s would defiantly have been the go.

Just joined mountain biking with my sons, between us we ride three Giants (All sourced via Gumtree)
me - Yukon 2009
Son #1 - 2008 Alias
Son #2 - 2005 STP2

Mucking around in the yard on Saturday and this happened to my Yuk....

I need new forks, and ask for help in selecting.
We are riding mostly the Kalamunda Circuit (climb, descent, repeat), I am 5'11" and a shade under 0.1T.

What should I be looking at, air? Spring? Manitou, Rock Shox, other?
Budget is around $400 landed.

Have a weekend of riding planned for weekend after next so Chainreaction is probably out.,

Steel HT frames

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi guys

I am looking to get a new HT bike soon, possibly something unique.

I was looking at steel framed hardtails and i am just wondering whether its worth it or not?
What sort of experiences have you guys had with steel framed MTB?

My riding only really consists of just all day XC fun and a few XC races here and there.

Looking for some info bought a bike new 3months ago with these brakes on it they work great as good as or better than my old xt set up.

question is as I didn't get any paper work about how to adjust these brakes how dose the pad adjustment work

I have wound the wheel on the lever both ways fully makes no change to how much travel it takes for the lever to engage the pads.
I removed the pads the other day and noticed i had 3 out of 4 sticky pistons in the calliper so exercised them until they are working again but still the pad adjustment wheel makes no difference.

Thanks

Duncan

Norco Sight 7.1 v Nukeproof Mega TR

I'm currently on a cheap 29" hardtail and after a few journeys over the bars am looking for something that will allow me to hack down hill with more confidence, yet be ok on the flats and back up too.
After looking at and riding a few different 27.5 dual suspension models including Giant Trance, Scott etc, I'm leaning toward either the Norco Sight 7.1Alloy or the Nukeproof Mega TR Race. Both around 3.2K - 3.5K
