LCNP tracks

I’ve recently started a new job at Macquarie Park, near to LCNP. I know there are a fair few tracks in here (I’ve ridden them in the past, albeit led by others and in the dark!).

I wanted to see if someone who knew the tracks well (S/T and F/T) might be able to give me some good pointers (or preferably show me!). I work on Talavera Rd so would be looking to start at the entrance near the end of the road. I’m on an AM bike some if possible something that would give that a bit of a workout but happy with anything.

Happy to chat over PM.

Lane cove very soon, anyone?

I've never ridden lane cove before, but have some time to go ride and its right down the street, so I'm thinking I will check it out this afternoon. On the off-chance any interested parties read this in the next 10 or so minutes (sorry), if youd like to join that would be awesome!

It's kind of cool down in the valley. Doing a regular Route that avoids big hills.

Lane Cove Friday Arvo Newbie Ride

When:
Friday, 12 December, 2008 - 17:50
Meeting Point:

Meet "At the Seat" South End Kissing Point Road. The seat is the picnic seat down in the valley next to the concrete cycleway (near the water crossing). If you can come at a later time then please come along. We often come past the seat so you can join in when we see you. The seat has a large sign near it and is surrounded by wood chip from parts of the huge fallen tree next to it. I'll take a photo of the seat.

The concrete cycleway links the two sides. Park Kissing Point Rd (north side) or Vimeria Road (South side). Watch out for the scummers in their latte sipping tights as they think that trying to break the sound barrier on the cycleway is cool.

Come along. Legal track only, avoiding big hills. XC style riding. Friends and I ride here quite a bit, come along and see our preferred route. We take it nice and easy early on. Being mature aged, we like to warm up a bit. Lane Cove holds water after rain, if it has rained during the day it is off. A very small sprinkle is ok. We ride instead on trails where the water runs off the trail instead of sitting in the middle of it.
