So, they're now promoting mtbing as a tourism attraction. I guess NSW Tourism don't speak to NPWS....

Oh dear Sad

Download the nice 20 page booklet and search for 'bike' (don't bother with 'MTB' - doesn't get a mention).

Anyhow - so if you do search for 'bike' you'll find it on page 7:

How's this for a getaway? One that will see you coming back fitter and leaner than before – and at a fraction of the price of a health retreat. That’s bushwalking and NSW has perfect conditions for outdoor adventuring. From mountains to rainforest, pristine coastline or following the steps of the great explorers, its world-class tracks won’t only take your boot size but mountain bike tracks if you prefer to pedal.

OK... so they are telling us about shared hiking/mountain bike tracks on this page, right?

The Great North Walk Ever want to pack it in and walk Forrest Gump-style? Then this is the one for you. Starting in Sydney's CBD, this will take you to the vineyards of the Hunter with scenery and wildlife you wouldn’t believe could exist so close to the metropolis.

Sweet... GNW is for riding on it seems Smiling

The Six Foot Track Linking Katoomba with the Jenolan Caves, this is one of Australia’s classic walks. It winds through some of the most stunning ridges, gorges and heathland in NSW, and takes a leisurely three days to walk.

Sweet... as is the Six Foot Track Smiling

Cellar Door Cycling Rolling along the Mudgee region’s back roads is an excellent example of mixing the business of cycling with the pleasure of wine. Go with Green Pedal Tours and the wine that you buy will magically turn up at the foot of your hotel bed that night

And they even support drink-riding... awesome! Smiling

Later on (page 12) they push chairlift up, trails down riding at Thredbo.

And that would be the extent of riding in NSW it would seem! <rolls eyes>
