Saturday/Sunday 4/5 Nov pre fling fling for the flingers doing the fling
Ok you know who you are....and those who just want to ride!
My touch football knee injury doesnt prevent me riding thank goodness so after an easy week its back to it for a final pre fling fling.
I dont mind where we ride but would like to get in some good distance with minimum stopages and keep a reasonable pace, so might not be suitable for all riders this time.
I am happy to link up a few rides too....
Saturday early start 7:00am (or earlier if I can find someone crazy enough)then 8:30 for the late starters second stage.
Option 1....
7:00 Terrey Hills long trail to the lookout
8:30 Duck Ponds, Waratah (not a favourite but some good hills), Centre Track back to the shops
Options 2....
Add in another lap out to the lookout
Add in a ride to Oxford falls and various rides.
Add in a ride to Cascades...lots of hills yeah!!
If I get enough K's on Saturday then I may rest Sunday.

Hi Craig,
I'm up for a big one.
Pencil me in for 7:00 am (sh-ite)
If we pull off all the options then Sunday we rest!
(come to think about it, either way, Sunday I rest, wash the bike, lube the chain,
trim the beard)

Hi Craig,
Count myself and Bruce in for the 7am start.
Just want to confirm that we will be meeting at the shops.
Evan
Will and I will also be at the shops at 7.
yuk!
Shops at 7am!! I'll come for long trail and duck holes up and back. Will not join in for warratah etc as I have to be ready to work at 10am... another fun day in that place that pays me to play with bikes hehehehehe
Celia
Am new to NoBMoB and saw you guys are riding in morning. Am keen to join as a bust big toe has limited my training for last few weeks buave kept pretty fit though! Really need to do a long ride to see if I'm up to it (both fitness and toe actually holding together - !). I assume it's pretty much XC stuff rather than hardcore blasting. If I don't keep the pace you can just leave me
If it's cool where are you guys meeting up?
Tom
the carpark near the shops at the corner of yulong and booralie roads, terrey hills.
yes all XC pretty straight forward trail - no blasting although belching does occur. I'm super slow right now ( I think, the slowest in the group) so I doubt that you will lag behind. If you do however, its an out and back so you just ride the way you came and you will get home. See ya on the morrow
Celia
Cool - see you there...assuming I don't sleep through alarm!
Tom
Ok sounds like we will have quite a posse.
Meet at the Terrey Hills shops to start ride at 7:00am!!
At Christines request the ride will head out to Waratah via duck ponds and back through centre track. Those keen can press on out to the look out on the long trail on return.
That will be about 55Km.
Greg, I am going to ride from home so if you want to join me we can meet at the intersection of Hews Pde and Forest Way about 6:30...wont take 30 mins but dont want to be late....hehe.

Hope to be there for the ride. Have had a lot of 5ams this week so I may sleep in. Don't wait for me if I am not there.
Scott
Ok Craig see you at 6:30.
Greg
I'm planning to do the gong ride tomorrow - 90k of road ride, good training though. You can sign up on the day before 7.15 I think, so I'll be doing that.
Anyone else interested?
Well, that was fun even though I had to leave early (and didn't even want to!)
I was still late for work!
Craig, I stole your jacket... I can give it back at touch or next weekend...
How many ks did you all get up to in the end? I think Craig and Rob are great coaches as of today (next week i may think differently!) as I am not tired (yet!)
Now we need to get onto the serious side of things this week - food for the weekend!
MEEEEE
ps Justin, no way thank you!
yuk!
A Road ride!!!!!
Weirdo!!!!!
Hey,
I did the gong ride, it wasn't easy at all.
When we where on Ocean View Road (the new coastal line bridge) we were riding straight into a 35-40 knot head wind, Which had most riders struggling to keep at a constant speed of 8km/h (damn those southerly busters). and that that also includes the rain the up hill section.
I was hard but it felt good at the end.
There was about 12,000 people that crossed the finish line.
Yeah that headwind was a shocker! The new sea bridge was good some great views.
