Within a hour away or a day trip or weekender?

I would say Ourimbah, Wisemans Ferry and Appin
For fun riding my top 3 have to be:
1. Wisemans Ferry GNR
2. Ourimbah
3. Appin

Not that I'm biased
Do you prefer trying to break the sound barrier whilst dressed as a Gladiator on a bike resembling a moto X bike or do you prefer to pick your way through techy S/T or maybe just slam along dull fire trails?
I prefer flowing and or techy single track so would also go for :
Ourimbah (also has DH),
Menai (also has DH / FR)
Majura (also has small DH)
I would also include in there Lockyers track up near Mt York (done on a shuttle basis). From top to bottom is about a 20 - 25 min run dependant on your bike and skills. But then the ride back to the top is around 13 kms of road (mostly uphill).
All of the above would be great tracks for a 5-6" travel, dual sus bike.
Na you ride either back up lockyers or lawsons long Alley.. Then down Coxes and back up...
Where from Newnes? Glow worm tunnel to the campground? Or is there something else up there? I camp at Newnes a lot when its a bit warmer so would love to know what riding is available there.
Coach road down to the camp ground is awesome. + there is 10 000 trails up on the Plateau around the Bungleborri and out towards birdsrock and back across to Black fellows hands.
