BoM Sydney Radar update
I noticed just now the Bureau of Meteorology has updated the Sydney rain radar to a high resolution doppler radar:

What does this mean for us all? Not much I suppose, but it now has a 64km loop with more detail on local areas, and something that tells you which way the wind is blowing. Handy if you're stuck in an office as I am, and want to know...
Rob, how does this affect the Nobmob weather page?: http://nobmob.com/weather

I thought it was an advertising sign for the pitch 'n' putt!

Unless the old radar shuts down don't think I'll bother changing it. Well, not for a while anyhow.
Yeah, that "golf ball on a Tee" is the new Doplar radar for the BoM.
There's a small write up on it in the MD today.
Better not ride too close to that ball then unless you want a family of all daughters
Buck - it wasn't there for the last 5 years and I got 3 of 'em anyway.
how long did you spend riding circles around the tower last night?
I'm going for a 4th - NOT!!!!!
That's what happened to one of my Army mates. He worked for years on the radars of Navy ships at Garden Island........Four daughters now
Boys run in our family, and I've got two of my own already with no girls. Where's this radar again?
