Wisemans Ferry ride

I was planning on getting a bunch of riders out to Wisemans Ferry this Saturday morning (the 18th), which should be great fun. I have never ridden out there before, and I am looking forward to it very much. Lots of people say it is great. But I am not sure how many of my mates are going to go yet. But will know more later in the week.

My question... does anyone know of any good weblinks (hotlinks) you could direct me to that explain the Wisemans Ferry ride in detail? As this ride / trail does not appear to be on this website. I just wanted to do a bit of research before we get out there.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on some of the side tracks (preferably rocky single trails - but anything is good!!!) that are a good tangent off the main trail?

Thanks!! Laughing out loud

Take a look at Great Northern Road. You probably want to go up Western Commission and down Great Northern Road (Shepherds Gully).

Also check out Shut up and Ride (on links page) - they love it up there and there's loads of pics.

Great Rob!

That was exactly what I was looking for. And the 'Shut Up And Ride' site will be worth a look too. I have book-marked that and will check it out shortly - when I get time!!

Muchos gracias senor!!

I just did 4 days of riding around wisemans ferry, some great mountai climbs, though it was fairly wet some days. Just was unlucky i guess. I would definately do again, in beter weather and with someone who knows the area better then me. I just pitched a tent and rode wherever but it was great fun.
