Yellowmundee Closed?
Came across the page below on the NPWS website stating that:
"Yellomundee Regional Park (except for Yellow Rock Lookout) will be CLOSED until further notice from Saturday 19th September 2009."

Has anyone heard they were closing the trail out there?

Well - there's a race planned there for Sunday so that's a bit odd. Shame the DECCW don't have a proper mailing list or anything.
Should we update the trail status ?

Sunday’s race shouldn’t be affected.
"yellomundee will be closed for fire hazard reduction on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th. the back burning will be on the western side of hawkesbury road which will not affect any of the trail network"

I asked WSMTB VP and he said that NPWS has told them to go ahead and run Sunday's race. Seems the burning will be West, across the road and up the hill so hopefully not too much smoke about (and none if they did it today of course).
