Ourimbah Lap Time
Just trying to plan a couple laps at ourimbah, how long would it take me to do a lap if i can do the dam in about 42m?

Maybe 10 minutes more? Or 5? Depends which 'lap' you do too as there are a few options.
Ourimbah is a bit longer than the Dam. I've done a 35min lap of the full Ourimbah course they use for the Fat Tyre Festival. I'd leave around 45-50 mins per lap if you don't want top rush things too much. You can always link up to the firetrail back to the carpark from a few places if you run out of time.
Depends on how aggressive you ride.
I can punch the Dam out in 35 and Ourimbah in 40 (taking the longest way around I know)
I did 4 laps on Saturday at fun pace took about 2hrs 50mins or so.
So a little under 45minutes per lap or slower if fitness is an issue.
Maybe we need to add Ourimbah into Hot Laps
you got to add which lap you want to be hot on
as a challenge - to cover the multiple options
I guess Manly Dam should have a challenge made for reverse direction
That's a good idea, but... the lap at Ourimbah is too varied so it would just be confusing
My comment was just my bad sense of humour considering what was being said here http://nobmob.com/node/11422
At least you posted with a sense of humour.
There should be some hot laps this coming Sunday as well as some quick ones.
Looking forward to the FT - any plans on a group area?
There sort of is a standard lap layout for Ourimbah, Rob. At least as layed out by the designers of the course, the ccomtb club... on their forums they are actually trying to get people to stick to the defined track setup and discouraging any extra tracks beyond the main route. (Otherwise State Forestry may revoke lease apparently) It's the route they use for their XC comps... I followed it a couple of weekends ago after they'd just run one. It's basically the route we all took the last time we were all up there (although admitedly I had to bail before the last section).
I have a tcx file of this 'standard lap' of Ourimbah if needed.
