Road site out in the open
As some of you will know, there are a number of riders in our midst that enjoy riding on the road. A while back we created the tongue-in-cheek named 'scummers' group to cater for these people but this was little known and hard to find if you didn't know about it.
Enter road.nobmob.com. This is a public site for all the road related content and as such should be easier to find. On the plus side for some poor misguided souls who only like to ride on the road, use of this site only shows road related stuff in much the same way use of nobmob.com only shows MTB related stuff.
That is... unless one edits their profile and selects to see content from one place when actually using another. Eg. if you select to always see content from road.nobmob.com you don't actually ever have to login there to see what's going on - that content will show up for you on nobmob.com. This is akin the the way the 'scummers' group worked and I've set that option for everyone in that group so you really shouldn't see any difference at all.
So... long story short... loads of work for apparently no change. I'm sure there was a good reason for doing this though... watch this space

.. how do you spell mountain?
You've opened a kettle of fish here - you'll have to change the banner and logo 'over there' too.....Instead of Northern Beaches MTB it could be Northern Beaches Scum??
Well, yeah... I spell it 'Monutain' but guess it should be fixed to the more recognised spelling. There... done.
I slapped up a cheesy logo too, any artists out there who
thinkknow they can do better drop me an emailConsidering the state of the roads on the Northern Beaches it looks about right
Well done rob. Getting out the the road is a nice break from the dirt, and less cleanup.
Does that make mobmob Roadie a nobmobr?
just a thought
When some u guys are out scumming, do you have proper road bikes or put slicks on a mountain bike?
Mostly road riding is done on a road bike. Although some people do put slicks on their MTB and it works just fine.
I bought a Hybrid & put 26mm tyres on it instead of the 38-40 mm ,where do I stand, this is my commuter training bike
Here you go:
http://act.nobmob.com/
For those (me) too lazy to type 'canberra'
I guess the front page of both of these could do with a little tidy up. Volunteers?
When you say 'front page tidy up'?
I was actually referring to the fact the feeds link is broken and some of the images are missing because they are from content that would normally be hidden from this site.
But if you feel like crossing out 'Northern Beaches' and replacing it with 'ACT' or similar don't think anyone would complain
