anyone here on weekend?
Hello!
Is there anyone who is not going to the Blue Mountains interested in a ride on the weekend? I was thinking early or late either day as I do have to work for both of them - early meaning 7.30 - 8am and late after 6pm (doesn't get dark till 8.30).
I will go somewhere anyway... but can safely say it won't be Cascades!!!

Hi MEEEEE
How does a little bit of Salvation Trail sound.
Say 8.00am Sat 6th at Towlers Bay car park
Jeff
BUT is it a really long ride?
You know I really want to do that one - you are too nice!!!
MEEE
ps is that the car park we met at before? you know, the one I couldn't find?!!
I could be on for a quicky tomorrow morning. It all depends on how much work I get done today.
Ill let you know tonight.
Thanks
Greg (Pikey)
I can vary the length to what you need, and we meet in the car park you couldn't find!!
Jeff
I could be tempted especially as it is early that way I can still get my chores finished early in the day.
What is your aversion to Cascades?? It really is a nice ride. Nicer that Waratah.
Perhaps it is the lack of a nice view? Although there are a couple of creek crossings that might qualify.
You could ride out from Terrey Hills shops if you were keen?
hehe...
Craig
Im a starter
see you at 8.00am Sat 6th at Towlers Bay car park
Christine and Cascades
what a bonding ride
all her comrades comments are so cruly snide
she's only done it via horse that stop and eat the grass
so stop been piss week and get off your f*%#ing ass
Pikey
Hi Christine,
You seem to have Saturday all sewn up. But is there anything on offer for Sunday?
Want to make a suggestion, or a new topic? How about the Dam?
Cheers,
Liam.
So you're not up for The Oaks this Sunday?
Seems the whole gang is getting up at 5am for some mad reason!
What mental patient thought up a ride that involved a 5 a.m. start? Have we all gone crazy? Can I lodge a protest? If so, who do I address it to? And if so, where do I send it?
I should be off on another ride later on Saturday afternoon. Possibly a bit poo-poo-ed from that one for an early morning Oaks ride. So I'll see how I go. I suppose I can always turn up unannounced. I would still be interested to hear what some others may have planned alternatively to the Oaks.
Cheers,
Liam.
Hello Liam
I am guessing you are probably going to join the masses and treck to the oaks anyway but no, i won't be riding tomorrow - well, i will be but she has four legs not two wheels!!!
Hope you have a good ride this afternoon ( Saturday)
MEEE
Thanks Chrsitine, Oxford Falls is always a blast. A bit hot today maybe, but I will make sure I put on the sunscreen to avoid 'Le Lobstur'!!
Does anyone else have a suggestion for a ride on Sunday? Something preferably in mid-morning or late afternoon? i.e. something I won't need to get up at 5:00 a.m. for?
are you guys still riding the falls at 4 today? it still seems a bit hot out there!
Erm... I couldn't face the 8am start today, and 4pm was too late so went on my own little tour. Left too late really and just got back an hour or so ago.
It's very hot and very dry. Supped my 2.5l of water well before the end of what was a 2 hour ride and had to grab a couple of Gatorades at the servo on the way home, which vanished into my system rather quickly.
Car thermo said 30C.
On the plus side, found some new trails
i think im coming down with something and i dont think dehydrating myself would make me feel too good. feel free to discuss the new trails...
Where were the new trails?
Gazza, maybe you could go with Liam tomorrow instead - wuss!!!
and Greg...I think I may go to Cascades tomorrow...on my horse!
MEEEE
ps thank you guys for the ride today!
Well, this is where I went:
http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/episode/view....
'cos we were talking about this on Wednesday night.
It's true, you can now join Ryland (or are they calling it Cooyong/Neverfail now?!) to Sandy Trail in Terrey Hills. There's some insane water bar action heading down the a creek crossing from the South
Bonus - discovered some short sniggle that I think Evan was talking about and means you can also join Ryland with the Management Trail round back of St Ives oval and to the Wildflower Garden.
What this means, with the advent of the other trail that's recently been discussed means one could ride Cascades to Wildflower to Ryland to Terrey Hills to Duck Holes to Oxford Falls and from there skip back over to Cascades in one huge loop with minimal road use. Sweet
If someone did do that entire loop how many ks would it be about do you think?
Now all we need you to do is the other trail, Google Earth them and add them to the site. :)
Champion effort on the maps.
Evan
Go on take your four-legged equine and have a nice trot.
As your two wheeled riding skills are starting to rot.
Pikey
Yeah, but with all these trails "theoretically" joined together to make one massive ride, I would have thought this has gone past the endurance of the mere mortals to ride in one hit. Once you ride from one end to the other, you would have to turn around and ride all the way back to your car. Ummm, could be a bit far, one thinks. But Rob and Evan, I will wait for you to do it before I attempt it.
