Things to try to get along to, domestic situation allowing:

STXC at homebush Saturday: http://www.nswmtb.asn.au/index.php?option=com_co...
Using the 4X track and some extra!

Trials at Arcadia on Sunday:
http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?...
For some "how the f*ck did he do that" type action! There's even a beginners section that promises no need to hop or stand.

Will be trying to make at least the STXC on Saturday.

Also NSWMTB has a great calendar which you can check out to see what's on in coming months:

Matt.

I've been promised if you can ride Manly Dam you'll be able to ride the Novice sections.

You can also just come out and ride the XC track - for insurance purposes non MTBA members will need to pay for a $5 participation licence.

Hi there,

heard the same, we will see Smiling but the XC track sounds fun anyway!

See you there,
Caro

Tried to find it once, went too far, got chased off by dogs and ended up just riding the trails at the end of the road.

How far down the road is it, any notable landmarks? And is it OK to ride on non-race days?

I'll try to remember to note the distance down Peebles Road tomorrow. The track is on land owned by Eastern Surburbs Motorcycles Club.

Not far from the end of the road before all the horsey stuff if I recall correctly.

See you there hopefully, might even bring a membership fee for MWMTB if you take cash...

Ta,
Matt.

3.2 km according to my speedometer. Look for the Eastern Suburbs Motor Cycle Club signs, There's a toilet block (that doesnt work) and a shed on the block.

Cash is accepted.

Good to see a few faces at the trials on Sunday, I couldn't stay for all of it but it was well worth a look, even for somebody with my challenged balance. Novice sections were doable for all standards and some of the sport lines provided a lot of entertainment.

Did anybody stay for the experts and care to tell a tale or have any photos?

Anyone get to the STXC on Saturday? If so how was the course?

Keep up the support of the local events, the more we get to these sort of things the better they'll get and the more resources our local clubs will have to look after the trails we use.

Ta,
Matt.

PS - If you're interested in looking after the trails yourself have a look at www.terracare.org.au.
