Hi all,

I intend to have a tour around Terrey Hills on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.

I am open to suggestions about where to go. But I wanted to try and keep the complexity to a minimum by riding the Perimeter trail, then the Long Trail, and back. We can keep the riskier stuff in the bag until later. Should be about 15 to 20 km and a couple of hours. A nice way to start 3 days off! Smiling

No bans are in place for anyone turning up with an Australian flag.

Meeting place is in the car parking area at Terrey Hills shops.

Hope to see you there. Cheerio!

set you back 22kms. Last time we rode it took 1hr 50mins car to car. This was allowing for a steady pace with zero stops, well basically as I caught upto evryone waiting for me I kept going and then they all leapfrogged me to the next stop, one crash break on the way home and about a ten minute wait at the lookout as someone consumed her beer.

Enjoy, and watch out for that really technical creek crossing just past the golf course creek, not!!

you forgot your beer!!!

Stu, either way, it still sounds good to me champ.

I will leave the beer consumption until I am at home and watching the cricket. Smiling

im def. up for it, but i havent been to the terry hills trails so once again u would be a bit of a tour guide- i understand if ur not keen on that and want a ride without noobies Eye-wink

Hi Alex,

Terrey Hills is flat as, with no technical parts to speak of. It is a fairly flat ride that noobs would find ideal.

Cheers.

hmm flat? doesnt sound very fun to me! i maybe a noob but i love techy hilly stuff!..any chance to sway u to another trail then?

Hi Alex,

When I say flat, I mean it is not rocky and/or technical. It has all the ususal up hill, down hill, waterbar action that you normally find on a fire trail. There is a mix of mostly hard-packed dirt, but some limited areas of gravel and sand. I mainly use this ride for practicing "distance" riding where stamina is tested.

Up to you mate.

Cheers.

Sorry Alex, but I have not ridden Terrey Hills in a few weeks, and was keen to do it tomorrow. You will find it a worthwhile ride. Can we leave Mooney Mooney until another day? Maybe we can organise this for Sunday? Or possibly you can make a post for next week? I would go to that.

Murray, you need to turn off Mona Vale Rd onto Booralie Road at Terrey Hills. It is well sign-posted. Follow Booralie Rd until you get to the shops (about 150m), and turn right at Yulong Avenue and park somewhere here, up towards the sporting fields.

I put "10 Booralie Road, Terrey Hills" into WhereIs and came up with this:

Hope to see you all there tomorrow. I will be in the blue Mazda2.

Cheers.

Tour Barbie Match Report:

Did the $2 tour today with 6 passengers. All appeared to have a great time exploring what was, for most, some new trails. That is always a good experience. As expected on an easier ride, there were no stacks today. Although there was some good speed and jumping at the various waterbars.

Rode from Perimeter Trail, out to the end of the Long Trail, continued to the end of the Perimeter Trail (where Cullamine starts), then back to base. With recent rain, there were a few muddy patches. No biggie!

Now for some beers! Hopefully we will see some of you at Oxford tomorrow.
