RNP Maintanence Day
Rangers office carpark on Farnell Ave. This is the second turnoff you'll come to right at the top of the hill down to Audley.
This is a trail maintenance day at Royal National Park.
Just a reminder of another day of track maintenance is scheduled for this Saturday. I'm told I have to pick my game up and supply morning tea.
We'll be working on the temptation creek area so you can meet us on the track just up from the creek crossing if you don’t want to come to the office.
Depending on numbers we'll be doing some work around the technical rock section and further up tweaking the drainage we put in last time. It was not draining the water off effectively during recent rains so some refinement of the work needs to be done. The short but wide section of track up the top can be narrowed using rock and brush to make it more interesting and a keeping with a single track experience.
With the uphill rock section we can remove the wooden risers that are ineffective and replace with imbedded stone where necessary to help with drainage.
Hope to see you on Saturday, I’m bring coffee and tea etc.
If you are interested in helping out please contact the rangers via email for more details and to confirm your attendance:
