Not sure this is the right section but here goes...(mods please move if need be)

As some of you may be aware a few of us have been campaigning to get a pump track/ skills track built up on the lower North Shore of Sydney.
we have had succesful interaction and very positive meetings with the council committee and they have recently expressed an interest in holding a "off road/ Mountain Biking skills workshop" at the new facility when it is built. They already do this for Road Cyclists, so this is their first venture into off road cycling (which is great news)
so we are interested to hear from interested parties that can and would be interested to take these courses, preferably with their own insurance

Open to any other suggestions too.

We are quite keen to get back to them with a contact soon as this will speed things up in regards to getting the track built

FYI we are asking for a current old run down BMX track to be upgraded to a figure 8 pump track, a row of small table tops of varying levels, and hopefully a small section with berms with maybe a mini rock garden and maybe some small log ladder bridges (no higher than a couple of feet off the ground) & small varying height drops.

a perfect little area to introduce people of all ages to mountain biking. They loved this idea when we presented to council last week

Thanks

Mark

It might be worth giving Australian Mountain Bike Clinics a hoy. I'm sure they'd be keen to assist - they may give a session for free as a demonstration, with a view to getting their name in front of people. They have courses listed in the paid rides section of this site,
