Hi there,

since I can never make it to the Tuesdays evening rides, how about Thursday?
Heard/read a lot about Terry Hills, I guess it's time to have a look!
Anybody up for a 6pm start?

Cheers
Carolin

Have only done the ride once and found it a bit difficult for the first time in the dark. But would like to give it another go...starting earlier would make it easier viz. I'm a bit slow though...so if you end up with lots of fast people and don't want to be slowed down, just say so, I'll give it a try by myself at some point to build up my hill legs!

Hi,

See you there.

Tanya I think you will find this track much easier in the day light, it is quite an enjoyable ride when you can see where you are going. We should be finished long before the sun goes down, so no lights required.

Hi all,
I'm a new member and the ride at Terry Hills sounds interesting.
Which track? Can anyone provide details?
Thanks
Toni Smiling

The usual ride is out along Perimeter/Long tracks and return to shops (on Booralie Road) - about 23Km return.

Hi there,

Tanya, it's not gonna be a race Smiling so whatever pace is fine!
Look forward to meet you.
Cheers

Hi Tanya

Thats right its not a race, just a social ride to get us all out of the house, so it would be great if you could make it. Always good to meet new people. Who knows you might have to wait for us Smiling

A birdy told me Bruce was fast! I'm returning from an injury so have to take it easy. But will come along if you are happy with that.

Bruce's picture

More than happy to take it easy as my knee is a little saw at the moment from an old injury, slower the better for me.

Binny hope you can also make it.

Hi Tanya!

Look forward to meet you tomorrow for a nice social ride Smiling. I am not injured (yet) but I hope I can still come!? Smiling

Have a good day!

Bruce,

I've seen you power up the hills before on the match stick bike of yours.

You get up the hills faster than most. Eye-wink

Thanks Liam, but Im putting it down to the weight of the bike. We all saw you sprint up a section of the oaks on bike alot heavier, very impressive.

Taking it easy for next couple of rides, my knee doesnt feel right at the moment & dont want to injure it again. Think I might of over done it lately?

I'm not at my usual worksite tomorrow. Hoping I'm still going to make it on time....my number in case I haven't shown up by 6pm is 0410 191 313.

Thanks Carolin & Tien for the ride last night. Lots of fun was had, what a difference day light makes.

Stuart M's picture

and was it just the three of you?

Bruce's picture

Hi Stuart

It took 1hr 26min of riding time I think + a stop at the end. Two freinds came with us to make the five. The track was nice & firm after the rain, no loose sand!

Stuart M's picture

thinking you probably wouldn't be back before dark. Well done

Bruce's picture

Where were you? Should have come along.

the kids, the boss gets back tonight. Besides, haven't rebuilt my light mount yet and only part way through version 2, not that I would have needed them at that pace, then again if I was there I doubt it would have been 1hr 20

Next time then, the pace was pretty relaxed.
