Yellowmundee Sunday 18th 7am Start
Subject says it all.
No racing at Yellowmundee this weekend so I'm heading west to join a mate for a 7am start on some sweet single track.

I'd love to see the track and do a few laps, but I can't definitely commit at this point. Consider me tentative for now. I'll post again when I get more info.
Hiya Stuart,
Definitely up for this one, so count me in.
Evan
to have you back Evan! Hope you didn't get any frost bite in snowy UK!
Seems like they didn't make you work too hard after all since you are up and running and riding every day, very good!
Have a great ride, I am on riding withdrawal for the next 2 weeks but I see you latest in Ourimbah .
Caro
Stuart,
I'm tempted, how long (in time) do you estimate you will be riding, so I can organise a leave pass.
Paul
We would normally be about 1& 1/2hrs if we do the standard figure 8 loop. We can easily extend this if people are up for it and by the same token if someone has to leave early then its easy to shorten the ride to drop them off and then keep going. I guess at the furthest point you would be no more than 2k from the car and the tracks loop around alot so its easy to get out quick if needed. We would usually then head up to Springwood for morning tea / breakfast (I think its actually quicker heading up and then dropping back down the highway to get home.)
Hope to see you there, I need some more encouragement on the jumps / technical bits.
BTW I live at Gladesville and it takes me slightly longer to get there than it does to Glenbrook, it's in an inconvenient spot to get to, west of the river about halfway between the expressway and Richmond.
Stuart
Stuart,
Sweet, count me in (now I have to tell me wife).
I can be contacted on 0409-359961 if there is a change of plan.
Paul
i am up for this too
PS: i am pretty poor at guessing directions, so can someone give me a more accurate way of getting there - i am coming from Wahroonga, so down the M2 then M7 then Western Highway then.......?
Tien
See you guys out there bright and early!
shane
Tien...got directions from the WSMTB site...or
Take the 2nd Exit to Penrith (ie. Take the Mulgoa rd exit) follow Mulgoa Rd past Penrith, Turn left when Mulgoa runs into Castlereagh Rd and follow signs for the Regatta Centre,
Stay on Castlereagh rd until the left turn into Springwood Rd..follow for a while pass a few creeks, when you get to Shaw Creek the entrance is 150m on your left.
Hope this helps...Exit to Penrith is from the M4
see ya
Shane
to add.
If you are coming on the M4 don't follow the Regatta signs from the expressway. As Shane said take the Mulgoa Rd turn off and turn right. Its then quite a way before Castlereagh Rd and from memory its a round about. Castlereagh feels like it goes for ever, Springwood Rd is after the servo, located on the east or right side of the road so if you hit this then you haven't gone too far.
Once you're on Springwood Rd keep going. Again it feels like a long way. The sign to Shaw Creek is often hard to see for the trees. We park at the last carpark just before you start to head up the escarpment. There are a couple of small carparks along this road so don't be tempted to pull into the first one. If you hit a hairpin bend then you have gone a little too far, go all the way to the top, turn around at the lookout and then come back down again, make use of the loo at the top of the hill if needed as there aren't any toilets where we ride.
See ya all tomorrow, Tien I'll have some goodies for you.
Stuart
Thanks to all
That was a great ride
Tien
Awesome track, would have probably enjoyed it even more if I wasn't as jet lagged
