GNR Excursion
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
Keen to get out for a longer ride this Sunday as part of prep for my first Dirtworks. It's a training ride for me but I won't be going very fast (because I am not as fit as most of you!).
Planned route is the same as taken with Daniel and Joe back in January, that is, out to ten mile hollow and then down Simpson's track and back up Donny's track, before heading back down over Clare's Bridge, back along the GNR to the top of Devine's Hill, and if feeling strong enough down Shepherd's Gully. Should work out at between 50 and 60ks:
Last time returning down Devine's took us about 5 hours but it was 40 degrees and we started late. I am hoping to fit in a Shepherd's Gully descent this time as I've not gone that way before. Really keen to kick off at 8am at the latest so that we avoid the heat of the day as much as possible.
Were you there and have a story to tell?

have been a fan of nobmob for a little while but havent joined a ride before so would be great to tag along. Also yet to explore GNR and this looks a good hitout.
haven't done any long rides for quite some time, but really need to do some & this just happens to be my favourite so i hope i don't hold you guys up too much.
.....hope it's not as hot at the Dirtworks !!!!!
